"as issued 1911 match"
Where can I find the rules for "as issued 1911 match" that I've heard talk about with the CMP?

YAWN.....
Another STUPID Games match...
So, how long before some gamer spends $2000 to build the "ultimate" "As Issued" 1911?

This match isn't new. And there's really no reason to be obnoxiously dismissive of a match that people do participate in.Asa Yam wrote:YAWN.....

A bit difficult to "spend $2000 to build the "ultimate" "As Issued" 1911" when the rule is"
Don't like the matches at the CMP Games? Don't go. Simple as that.The pistol must be in as-issued or “factory stock” condition, with standard grips and non-adjustable sights and without specialized match conditioning or accurizing features;

I do not see that there is a pistol match at these "Games".

Arizona, real close to the PNW, even IF there was pistol.

Nope no pistol at all.
I will say the as issued pistol matches have drawn some interest from the EIC shooters at least at Talladega Park.. heck if you travel the least bit to the park you will shoot what you can

If the CMP is listening, if they ran an “as issued” EIC pistol match during these “Games” it would help Bullseye by attracting new shooters to Bullseye. Make them 4 point legs and you can only get one. You have to use an “as issued”, metallic fixed sight pistol (currently listed on the CMP approved list) and have no cutoff score other than the top finisher must shoot 250 or better.

Re: "as issued 1911 match"
Start running Match Pistol Matches at a range alongside run-and-gun events. Make it a bragging rights challenge for all present. That could attract some to precision pistol shooting.Wobbley wrote:If the CMP is listening, if they ran an “as issued” EIC pistol match during these “Games” it would help Bullseye by attracting new shooters to Bullseye. Re: "as issued 1911 match"
I believe that would be called an "elementary EIC match," correct? I shot in a few of those but did not win. We were given rack-issue pistols.Wobbley wrote:If the CMP is listening, if they ran an “as issued” EIC pistol match during these “Games” it would help Bullseye by attracting new shooters to Bullseye. I still have my " General Patton". It would be fun to shoot. The chrome and pearl might be a little distracting. My only "issued" 1911's were built by National Match armorers. I sure didn't want to give them back.

Re: "as issued 1911 match"
It's called the Special EIC Match; used to be the Introductory EIC match in older rule books, IIRC.CO1Mtn wrote:I believe that would be called an "elementary EIC match," correct? 7.2.1 As-Issued M9 Service Pistol, 9mm
The M9 Service Pistol, chambered for the 9mm pistol cartridge, in as-issued condition, is used in the Pistol Small Arms Firing School and in the M9 Pistol Special EIC Match.

I have a 1980ish Colt Govt 1911, and a 92M9 ready to go. Both are used so I have no idea how much trigger work has gone on inside.
