1911 9mm caliber change to 38 Super

I have a SIG 1911 in 9mm.

I just came across some OEM SIG 1911 barrels in 38 Super at a very reasonable price. (OK, it is a bare barrel so I will need a new link & pin, but I happen to have those in hand).

Assuming that the barrel will just "drop in" and I use the correct magazine, is anything else needed to make it work as a 38 Super?

Will 9mm magazines work with 38 Super, given that the rim and shell diameter are very similar - just a bit longer OAL?

My $42.00 Sig barrel. Comp brass like Jim said but I bought some extra mags so I didn't have to fiddle with them.

I'll order some Super Comp brass and some Zero 125 JHP's in the spring. I'll get a couple of mags (stupid me - I had a bunch of 38 Super magazines and sold them off cheap when I was "cleaning out" in the summer - Grrr...).

Len, that’s not like you to not leave a eBay link....lol.  Got mine and a egw bushing.  Took the link off the 9mm barrel.  Shoots great!  I need to replace the slide stop pin as well just haven’t got around to it yet.
