Primary Arms red dot sight Empty Primary Arms red dot sight

I bought this sight, it gets a lot of good reviews. Its an Aimpoint copy, I really like the windage and elevation adjustment better than the Aimpoint. But, the Aimpoint is much brighter in the highest setting. I have to have the Primary Arms all the way up to use in the Florida sun, where I'm a couple clicks down for the Aimpoint.

Quetion is: is this the norm? Did I get a bad one? I changed the battery just in case the one that came with it was bad. Its a fine scope, but don't like not having anywhere to go with the brightness if I need it.
Thanks

KenO

not had an issue with either of my Primary Arms sights,

one is an Aimpoint knockoff, another is slightly different,

both work great on an AR

I have one that does not require turning it way up to see, probably similar to my H-1's. I've got the Kommiefornia sunshine beating down on me with no shades on it.

I notice on mine that the first two settings do nothing. If I am direct sunlight that it also has to be turned up all the way. It's well made but I do not like it near as well as my Millett tube sights that I own several of.

I've got 4 of the Primary Arms MD-ADS and have no complaints, gets plenty bright enough. Also works with Aimpoint Micro aftermarket bases like the Kodiak.
