Which backup parts should I get for a S&W 52-2.
Per my other thread I'm in the process of getting a LNIB S&W 52-2. One reason I went with the 52-2 was to avoid issues with breaking and hard to replace extractors.
So I'm a bit paranoid about replacement parts on older pistols so would like to collect a basic set of replacement parts. What should I get? I'm thinking at minimum an extractor, firing pin and spring set. Any other parts i should consider.
I already plan on getting a BME barrel weight style red dot mount, Sightron S30 dot and a DJ Precision barrel weight for shooting irons.

Manual safety, I've had two break in different ways on two different 52's also the plunger and spring if possible, they can get lost.
Ejector and spring, bought a 52 with a broken ejector. Remember to depress the ejector when you put the slide assembly back on the frame.
Firing pin spring. Discovered mine to be broken recently on the 52-1 after encountering light strikes/ignition failures.
Slide Stop
Maybe more when I put mine back together this weekend.

Thanks for the input. The safety is over $70 so might wait on that one, how did you break 2 of them? Seems like the safety would be a durable part. Also have you broken a slide stop too? Those are nearly $50. The ejector is cheap enough to keep on hand.

Might want to get an extra draw bar. Replaced a cracked one for a friend. It would not fire and took a while to figure out why.

Second that, mine broke also. That's why it's all torn apart right now.

yes the drawbar broke, I had it repaired and was able to find a replacement thanks to folks here on the forum.
I'll post photos of the broken safeties when I get back to South Carolina, easier than explaining.
