25 yards with my 32 S&W long
So after the sale fell through I decided to start shooting it again. I worked up a load for it and shot it off of sandbags. X ring isn’t bad at 25! I shot it at 50 but need a better day because it was really windy here in Southwest Florida. I was able to hold the 9 ring but I know it will shoot better!

That will put a smile on your face when you haven't been shooting for a while.
More details - what are you shooting? What is your load?

Does a Hammerli have a smaller diameter bore than a Benelli?

Careful with the starline brass, they've got tapered walls and can deform the full wadcutter. Lapua cases are straight wall, not cheap but you can sometimes find once fired brass, I picked up about 1500 pieces from an international shooter on the board.

Yes I read that. I have pull around 10 to check and see if anything bad was going on and they looked perfectzanemoseley wrote:Careful with the starline brass, they've got tapered walls and can deform the full wadcutter. I don’t think so BUT this 32 Conversion is damn near brand new! The coating on the bottom of the bolt that rides on the frame is still there but the coating on the bolt of the 22 is gone and the bolt looks like a mirrorMike38 wrote:Does a Hammerli have a smaller diameter bore than a Benelli?

Re: 25 yards with my 32 S&W long
Greetings,
Of all the Benelli and Haemmerli 280 and SP-20 barrels I have measured, they all gauge at 0.3135"-0.3140" groove diameter.
The Haemmerli barrels are surface treated to increase hardness.
The Benelli barrels are rather soft. Use care when cleaning.
Cheers,
Dave

Hello,
Need some help please. Just bought a Hammerli P240 32 off of GunBroker and disassembled it for cleaning and see a "bulge" . Can barrels be replaced and by whom?
Thank you

Your best bet would be to contact Mr. David Wilson, who's post you can see on this tread. Forum name is FC60.

Greetings,
"Just bought a Hammerli P240 32 off of GunBroker and disassembled it for cleaning and see a "bulge" ."
I would contact the seller and ask for a refund.
Or, at least a partial refund to get it rebarreled. Figure about $600.00 to do the work. Larry's Guns used to have the barrels. Hopefully, they made it to the Cardinal shop.
Cheers,
Dave
