Tests: 85gr XTP in 32 acp
I finally got a chance to Ransom Rest a couple of groups using the new 85gr XTP in 32 acp. The gun is a Pardini HP. All groups are shown with an X-ring/10-ring overlay. Shown for comparison are some 60gr groups. The 85gr bullet looks quite promising. I got good accuracy without having to load as hot as I need to with the 60gr. Also shown is a group using Factory Fiocchi 60gr ammo with the OAL reduced to fit in the Pardini magazines. The Fiocchi is pretty accurate but too hot for a steady diet in the Pardini in my opinion.

Very Cool! Amazing velocity difference being that much lower for the 85. Thanks for sharing!

Greetings,
Many thanks for the graphics. Says a lot more than "shoots better than I can".
The results with 1.6 VV N310 piqued my interest.
Very similar group and velocity with the same bullet loaded and tested in different parts of the country.
My target is at 50 yards using a factory Pardini barrel in my test fixture.
Cheers,
Dave

Thx, excellent presentation. I found the results, both velocity and accuracy, with 1.36g of 310 interesting. I use a similar load with the 62 SWC (T&B) with a velocity in the 750 range. Very nice shooting load.

So using starline brass there are no issues with getting correct OAL with the longer 85 gr XTP
