It looks like Bulleye powder is the preferred powder for 45?

Preferred?  Maybe.  But it is popular.

Just about every powder with a burning rate between Red Dot to Unique has been used.  Be-86 has been used too.

Current powders having at least some following are Bullseye, WST, Titegroup, 700X, Accurate No2, Vhitavouri 310 and 320.  New powders showing some promise are IMR Target and Red.
This was the results of a ten round chrono session with 3.8 BE and a 200 grain bullet.

I have been loading Titegroup in almost all my loads using plated or jacketed bullets for years with pretty good results. I am now loading poly coated bullets and have been reading that Titegroup may be a little to hot for the poly bullets. I was told Win231 is a good powder to try but I haven't bought any yet. SNS bullets say not to use any of the top 15 fastest burning powders with their bullets on their website.

Don't forget HP-38/Win231. I have used 4.6 grains of this for a 185 grain lead swc and it works well.

Don't know how that happened.  Sorry!

I'll try again:

1911 Make - Springfield RO
Caliber - .45ACP
Open Sights or Dot - Dot on slide
4.0 grains Bullseye....can go as low as 3.6 if I want
Bullet make and weight- Blue bullets 200 g SWC
14# recoil spring with 19# main spring

1911 Make - SA RO
Caliber - 45
Open Sights or Dot - IRON
Bullet make and weight- hg68 clone, 200gr tumble lube
Powder and Powder Charge - bullseye 3.6 gr
Velocity if measured - pleasant
Recoil spring weight - factory 16?
Hammer spring weight - 23

Do your own homework but this was popular charge in the old literature I found.  I'm not sure how good it shoots, better than me.

1911 Make - SARO
Caliber - 45ACP
Open Sights or Dot - 1" Ultradot on Leupold rings and modified Clark rail
Bullet make and weight- Brazos 160 hi-tec LSWC
COAL = 1.150"
Length to shoulder = 0.920"
Crimp = 0.463"
Powder and Powder Charge - N310 4.4gr
Velocity if measured - 792 sd=33.66
Recoil spring weight -12lb (I think)
Hammer Spring - OEM SA

This is my short line load. I tried 4.2 and 4.3 grains of N310, all other variables the same, and suffered occasional FTE's. My SARO was accurrised last spring by Roddy Toyota and is quite tight. I have been using factory Federal GMM 185 (or comparable reloads with Nosler 185JHP's) for the long line and hence do not want to go to an even lighter recoil spring.
