Fung grips for S&W Model 52
Does anyone have a S&W 52 with Fung grips? If so, do you like them or recommend the factory grips. I have small hands and I have read that a very firm grip is essential on the 52. I don't have my 52 yet, but was hoping for some advice from the 52 club. Thanks!

I get the best grip pressure usually with just straight slabs. Also the front and rear strap on the 52 has some super fine linear milling that has nearly no grip, putting skate/safety tape on the front and back strap will give it some grab.

I bought a set of grips from the Philippines. they were inexpensive and fit just like OEM Smiths. Delivery was pretty fast, too. I have a set of Herrett's, but like the stock grips better.

Fungs can be a little slippery. I have owned two pair 1911 and 41. I find them comfortable but the hi gloss takes away traction. They are adjustable for size like the Herrett Nationals but the Herrets will take traction tape. The Fungs won't. I ended up with Nills on my 52. I had to special order them to get a set big enough. Worth the wait.

I can help with that small grip you're looking for your new SW52. I custom sized target pistol grips using 3d printing and a wood composite material that feels like wood in your hand. With a stipple on the surface you'll not need to worry about it slipping. And like wood grips, you can sand or putty it for final finishing. Too much of the gun world is based on a one-size fits most concept that doesn't work ideally for anyone and treats those of us with really big or really small hands very poorly. With 3d printing I can make a grip that actually fits. Search this site and Target Talk for lots of reviews of my work and go to the website for pictures. Gorgeous!
As to small hands, use smaller grips to get ahold of it. Start with the factory ones. I have gone back to slabs on most everything. I had used Knill, Vitarbo, and homemade to no improvement.
Thanks

here is the link for the exact same grips for the 52. Along the top you can see the same grip with different grain patterns.

These have sold, but here is a link for another set of the same grips.
