Internet National Match Course League Week #1
This website is all about Bullseye shooting so lets have a NRA Precision Pistol 300pt National Match Course.
Follow the NRA Precision Pistol Rules.
Shoot at any official distances with official targets or scale targets to make it basement friendly for pellet guns.
Week #1 is now open. Shoot and post your score and information here on or before 2/23/2020. At that time week #1 will close and week #2 will be open.
Everyone is welcome to join in. No membership or enrollment needed. Simply post your information.
Post the following information
Name or forum name:
Date:
Distance: 50/25yard, 25yard, 50 foot, 25 foot.....
Indoor/Outdoor:
Pistol:
Caliber:
Sights:
Shooting aids: (we're here because we like competition, if we need to deviate from the rules to continue to enjoy, please do so. I would rather have someone with a shake shoot two handed and enjoy, than sit out. We'll all be there sooner or later.)
Post a picture of the targets if you can. It's fun to see.
Score Slow Fire:
Score Timed Fire:
Score Rapid Fire:
I'll summarize the results and post them weekly.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Looking forward to shooting with everyone.
Forgot to mention, feel free to shoot all calibers(22LR, Centerfire, 45, plus pellet.)
Results are attached. Once we get a few matches I'll start some graphing.

Re: Internet National Match Course League Week #1
I have to figure out how to make this pellet pistol more realistic as I don't shoot this well with my 22. Trigger pull is 2lb 3oz.

Re: Internet National Match Course League Week #1
I’ll play!
25 yard indoor
Walther GSP
Iron sights
CCI SV
SF 93-2
TF 98-6
RF 99-4
290-12
I’ve been hoping someone would take this on. I shoot once a week with a friend here on my home range. We shoot from the window of my workshop where I have a 50 meter pistol range but we shoot bullseye matches at 25 yards during the winter months.
I also shoot a monthly Air Pistol match that Soridian runs on Target Talk. The Target Talk free pistol postal seems to have died out. Hopefully it will start up again in the spring.
Thank you. This helps us northerners get thru the winter months!

Re: Internet National Match Course League Week #1
I will post my practice session yesterday. It was cold and raining, so I shot from under the porch at the farm. I know it would be just a fair score for a lot of folks on this forum, but I was stoked about my 50 yd slow target. Best so far for me. Please pardon the target pasters. I was shooting 3 pistols and trying out some different ammo combinations. The third target looks like 11 shots, however, one of the pasters blew off due to an adjacent shot. Will attempt to post photos.

Re: Internet National Match Course League Week #1
Welcome JKR. Sounds like you have a great setup.
Welcome AUB1957. Thats a great score. You are better than the majority of 60 guys in my local league.
Welcome JejaJones. I'm assuming that's a 900 pt match? At this time I would like to keep it to a 300 point National Match Course. I assume the NMC was 83-89-81 if you guys run Slow Slow Slow Timed Rapid Timed Timed Rapid Rapid? Let me know if I picked out the wrong ones. A few more points on each target and you'll be leading Marksman Classification. If you aren't officially classified, now is a great time to do so so you can Win Marksman before you improve past it. I unfortunately missed that and I've plateaued in the middle of Expert and I'm just starting my classification...

Re: Internet National Match Course League Week #1
I try to go and practise at my home club range as often as I can. I typically put up nine 50' NRA targets each time and, at present during the Indoor season, will shoot an all 22 2700 if I have time and if there are no others on the range to disturb me (that is most often the case). Unfortunately the range is only 15 yards = 45 feet, so I'm a bit short of the nominal 50 feet that these targets are intended for. Hope that you will let me post a score each week despite this non-conformance (not looking for any prizes ).
I normally shoot SF-SF-SF from left to right, then complete the NMC down the right side, then go back and shoot the two TF & two RF. This was the first 900 today. I have a Master ticket for 22 Indoor - that should apply I guess - currently Expert outdoors.

Hi,
Yes it was a 900 as described.
Your pick of the targets to use is fine.

Jimbat, outstanding slowfire. Welcome to BullseyeL.
Mike, I grew up in Illinois. My dad and I would shoot at a place called Gabby Hartnett's in Chicago. It was a bowling alley on the main floor and shooting range in the basement. Nice timed and rapid fire scores.
