Re: Hornady XTP difference 32 ACP
If you notice the bulge on the 100 finished round it goes all the way around and I think it is the nature of the beast if you are using Starline Brass as I am! I can’t do anything to make it go away. All three fall in and out of both check guage and my barrel!
I am testing the 85’s and 100’s again tomorrow before the wind starts blowing

So the 100 gr load in starline brass will pass freely in and out of your barrel for the plunk test despite the bulge? I wanted to be sure there's no typo on that item!
I use starline brass too and when I'm done with my current 60 gr stash I had planned on testing the 85 gr bullets but not the 100 gr bullets (so far anyway).

I am pretty sure the reason for the bulge is because Starline is tapered in that areaCraigB5940 wrote:So the 100 gr load in starline brass will pass freely in and out of your barrel for the plunk test despite the bulge? I wanted to be sure there's no typo on that item!

First time with the 85’s and the 1st group is with my 60gn dope on the dot to see how big of a difference there was. The 2nd group was 4 clicks up to get in the X ring. I did not call the flier in the 9 ring! Every string I shot today had one flier! Most was a wide 10 but there was a few 9’s! All in all for the first 100 I am not far off from what my 60’s group but I have to figure out the fliers though!
