Proposed load for .45 ACP in a Springfield National Match 1911
I'm planning to expand my bullseye shooting from rimfire to centerfire this summer. I'll be using a Springfield NM 1911. I have a variety of recoil springs for it.
I've been playing around with my own reloading data, looking at postings here, and checking what's available, and came up with this:
Missouri Bullet Company 185 grain, .452 diameter, "Hi-Tek Coated Semi-Wadcutter"
CCI #300 large pistol primers
A mix of Hornady, Winchester and Remington once-fired brass
3.8 grains of Clays (measured by weight; I don't have a high-volume press)
Thoughts?

I would try using Brazos Bullets 180gr SWC with at least 4.0 grains of powder for the long line. Gotta get it going above 800fps. Haven't tried Clay's yet, let us know how it goes.
