Burn mark by primer Empty Burn mark by primer

Post by sixftunda Tue Feb 12, 2013 6:07 pm

Found this on a few of my spent casings at my match Sunday. Used 160 gr. Quality Cast SWC, 3.8 Bullseye, Speer casings that have been used 1-3 times, and Winchester LPP.
The casings were sized and deprimed, then cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. Loaded in a Dillon 550b.

Is this a compatibility issue with the Speer casings and the Win primers? Is it even a cause for concern?

Weird. I have some used speer cases with Winchester primers, and I never had that problem.

I hate speer cases, the ones i had were the ones with the large flash hole for lead free primers if yours are those that might have something to do with I stopped using them and only use starline now
