Glock 45ACP
Sorry if I'm committing a serious offence by mentioning this brand, but I saw the thread on "Tupperware" guns and that piqued my interest.
I've never fired a Glock, much less owned one, but I see on my favourite "candy store" that some of them are remarkably inexpensive. Like this:-

OK, the auction is not yet over, I've no idea what the likely selling price will be.
Will guns like the Glock 41 cycle lower energy ammo (like my 160 Brazos LSWC over 4.4 of N310)? Or are they typically only reliable with full strength "hardball" ammo?

Re: Glock 45ACP
Roy,
I have not tested G41 with Brazos. However here is point of reference. I tested it 185 gr and 200 gr plated bullets with 5.0gr of BE and 5.0 gr of HP38 without issues, and accuracy at 25Y was OK. My notes say that 4.8gr of HP38 under same bullets were borderline cycling wise.

Hi Roy,
I think Glock discourages shooting lead bullets thru their "polygonal rifled" barrels, due to lead build up. If this is still true you may need to buy an aftermarket barrel that does.

Re: Glock 45ACP
I have only shot lead SWC's through my Gen 3 G21. I get more leading in my Kart barreled wad gun. These are Bullseye loads for the 25yd line. 3.6 gr Bullseye for 185gr SWC. The 45 is not a high pressure load. I've shot a lot of lead through my 9mm's too but not hot loads. FWIW if you want to increase the accuracy of your G21 get a TR Graham Mk II Match Grade Barrel Lock. It's the slide release. It will increase the G21 accuracy by 35%. It gives a more consistent lock up. It will only improve 9mm's by 7%. I have also ransomed lone wolf barrels and the stock Glock barrel is more accurate. To get the Match Grade Barrel Lock go to theglocksmith.com. They are about $20.

Re: Glock 45ACP
I tried shooting 45acp 200gr SWC loads in a family's Glock and they wouldn't feed. I would get a CZ 97 before a Glock if it were me wanting a non-1911 45 to play with.

Re: Glock 45ACP
Thanks to you all for the info, very interesting. I got info offline too from an eminent source. I then read some of that very extensive thread on castboolits.
OK, my piqued interest is now fully sated - no, I won't be buying a Glock anytime soon!
I have, before I got interested in Bullseye, briefly owned a couple of poly frame 9mm's (S&W, Walther), the top models at the time in both cases. I did not like the triggers at all and could not get acceptable groups (admittedly I only tried "white box" ammo, which I now know is not very good in almost any gun).
I'm kind of interested in the Springfield XDM 45ACP Competition 5.25", maybe if I see one at a good price I'll try it, just for fun.
