High standard barrel swap problems
So I'm trying to swap the barrel on a supermatic and the barrel that I am trying to go to rattles. The plunger will hit maximum extension without holding anything firmly.
Is it easier to change the frame plunger or the barrel stud, neither, or both? Is there a measurement or spec?
Thanks

Call interarnstx.com and talk to Alan. He can help you with that problem and he has the parts. I believe high standard actually had plungers with different depth cuts when they assembled the guns to compensate but only had one part number.Alan can explain it for you.

Matt,
I don't see reply on the original post. No rush so you can figure out what's going on with your gun.
Money for the barrel isn't an issue. Would like to see you get the gun functioning properly and be satisfied. Shooting should be fun.
1. I would suggest calling Allan Aronstein at Interarms and explaining situation to him for his recommendation. He has helped me many times as well as others I know. His cell: 713-446-6918
2. I would suggest removing barrel take down button out of frame and cleaning / deburring those parts.
3. I have other barrels off of Victors and/or new 10X barrels from Interarms you could try as long as I get them back. You would have to pay shipping.
Two barrels not locking up seems odd.
I'm currently relying on my 2 Supermatic Citations & a new HS Series 10 from Allan for competition.
Call me if needed: 518-528-4248

Re: High standard barrel swap problems
Merick, I'd screw the stud ball in until it held the barrel tight. I think there's a stud retaining pin you have to remove if you want to change studs.
