S&W M41 Trigger adjustment
I field stripped, cleaned and oiled my M41 two days ago, following instructions from here : Model 41 maintenance.
I test fired it yesterday and the trigger felt heavier than before. I don't have the tool to measure its weight, so it was nothing but an impression.
I started to wonder whether blowing air through the mechanism may have affected the trigger adjustment lever.
I field stripped the gun once more this morning and took a look at its insides.
It looks like the trigger pivot pin not only blocks access to the trigger adjustment lever, but also locks it in place, preventing what I was worried about.
Can anyone confirm that? I just want to make sure my amateurism and lack of skills didn't turn on me.

You have to drive the pin past the bar to chance its position then drive it back..

I know that, but it looks like the trigger pivot pin has the secondary function of locking the trigger adjustment level into place once it is set.
I'm asking for a confirmation.

when the trigger pin is in place, the adjust lever can't move..

Here is a link to a website showing how to adjust the Model 41 trigger:

You should probably try to measure the pull and see what it is before you adjust it.

Re: S&W M41 Trigger adjustment
Hope that works for you. When you run out of adjustments there, the next step is the coil return spring to the rear of the wedge. It's more complicated to reinstall and keep the ends in place hence the slave pin idea.
