Pardini 22lr & 32S&W Resale?
I'm planning to purchase a couple of Pardinis in 22lr and 32 S&W to participate in a local Bullseye group. I'll only be doing this for a couple of years at best and will then sell the guns. I see Pardini now offers them in a variety of configurations. What would be the most favorable for later sale?

My humble opinion is your are making a mistake. Get a good 22 and use a 45. Less money
I however use a Pardini and they are expensive. I have 5300 bucks in mine. I bought a new Sp 22 with 32 ACP conversion. Don’t get the S&W Long because the ACP outshoots it and people know that and you will lose a lot of money.

I had an SP 22 and 32 ACP conversion a few years ago and enjoyed both but sold them after realizing I wouldn't be shooting for a few years. All sold for just a little less than what was paid for them. I would like to get back to Bullseye again for a short duration but this time with with a 32 S&W because of only shooting at 25 yds and just for trying something different. The only twist this time around is I notice Pardini offers more configurations, e.g. barrel lengths. So what would be the most popular and easiest to sell in a few years?James Hensler wrote:My humble opinion is your are making a mistake. Get a good 22 and use a 45. Less money

The only decent bullet out there for the S&W Long is the Speer 98 grain. It’s going to be alittle undersized and that’s why people swage or bump up the bullet. This is time consuming so enjoy.
People say 6 inch are nose heavy and doesn’t balance very well. I love mine and if I ever sold it I would buy another.
Since you are going to resale it I would recommend the 5 inch so those same people will be interested. On Gun broker there is always a 5 inch gun for sale but never a 6 inch. I like to think it’s because the 6 inch just shoots better and people won’t let them go.
I think the S&W Long will be hard to resale

Yep, I wouldn't bother with the .32s&w. The .32acp shoots just as well or better as the .32s&w at 25 yards. Buying the .32s&w would dramatically limit your number of potential buyers.
If you're dead set on getting a Pardini SP Bullseye with a .32, I'd go for the 5" model with a .32acp conversion. Looks like about $3,950 from Pardini USA.
Other options that would save you money and likely be easier to sell:
1. Pardini SP Bullseye in .22lr and buy a Springfield Range Officer in 9mm or .45acp. Total cost would be about $3,350.
2. Springfield Range Officer 1911 and a Marvel or Nelson .22 conversion kit. Total cost would be under $1,500.
