Don’t worry about the upside down stuff! My Lucas bottle is always on its side

I used Velcro to keep mine on the side of the box interior. Same for my Aimpoint tool and earplug case.

I put a folded paper towel inside a zip lock baggie - the towel absorbs any leakage from the bottle stored inside the bag. In almost 2 years I've never replaced the paper towel: haven't had any leakage from the little bottle i got from Brownells.

I had considered velcro, but figured the curve of the bottle would prevent a good hold.mspingeld wrote:I used Velcro to keep mine on the side of the box interior. Same for my Aimpoint tool and earplug case.

+1 a small plastic needle oiler bottle doesn't weigh much. It stays in place.mspingeld wrote:I used Velcro to keep mine on the side of the box interior. Same for my Aimpoint tool and earplug case.

I also put my small plastic needle oiler in a zip lock bag. Keeps everything clean. If it comes open inside the bag, I can still apply oil without getting it all over my hands.
I have a box from Greg also. I get a lot of compliments on it. He does great work.

That box is way too tidy! Is there room for a sandwich in that cute little drawer?

I keep a small oil bottle inside a prescription pill bottle. It NEVER leaks.

I don't transport my guns in my box. So, the gun holder is the oil holder. Keeps it upright and tight.

Well, you 3D print a square box with the correct size hole interior for your bottle. You epoxy it either to the wall, or the floor of your tray. Always upright

"metal topped bottle?"
No - it has a plastic cap that seals the needle. Here they are on the Brownells website:

The smaller ones are even better IMO - but they're out of stock right now

I have had a positive experience with both the brownell’s bottles and the Lucas bottles. I do keep them on a small piece of a rag, I have yet to notice any leaking.
