50 yard pistols ranges around Indy
Due to my father in laws health my wife and I are going to have to leave sunny Southwest Florida for about 6 months. He lives in Carmel. Are there any nice ranges either indoor or outdoor that is somewhat close to join and practice?

Send Miriam an email or call her at St Joe's R&P (Bristol) and she probably can give the details of ranges in Indiana.

Do not live in Indiana, but here is another take on the matter:
1. Looking at the October listing for matches in "Shooting Sports, USA", there are at two possible contacts for competitive pistol shooting in the state. See the listings for yourself at https://www.ssusa.org/media/1543477/october2020_ce.pdf.
2. There is a range lookup tool on the NRA website, https://explore.nra.org/programs/clubs/. A quick search for clubs and associations within 50 miles of Carmel, IN displayed 14 ranges, though this includes "shotgun only" ranges. Number 14 on the list is the "Atterbury Fish and Wildlife Area", which lists a 25 yd. pistol facility. The address is ON Camp Atterbury, am unsure where the range is though. Clicking on the facility title on Google Maps brought up the link to the Indiana State Department of Natural Resources page for the facility (https://www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/3100.htm), which had a link to the Atterbury Shooting Complex (https://atterburyshootingcomplex.com/). There are other ranges closer, but since you are so close to Camp Atterbury, why not explore the facility?
3. Try contacting the State Association. Indiana State Rifle and Pistol Association has a "contact" page, which might help find a contact for competitive (non-action) pistol shooting. Homepage for ISRPA is https://isrpa.org.
Hope this helps.

They have a nice outdoor range, where the Indiana State Conventional Pistol Championships have been held. https://indyrange.net

It was 100% successful! Wish I had done it a month ago. No swelling, No pain!!! He said that the restriction started at 95 degrees and ended at 114. Yesterday at PT I measured at 120 degrees. They found that my tendon on the outside of my knee which had been repaired before was rubbing on the implant and it was really inflamed. They used an ultrasound to locate the exact placement and he gave me a steroid shot. So between the manipulation and the shot I think they got it!Ogasixgunner wrote:James, how did your manipulation go? Praying for a speedy recovery. Good seeing you in Jacksonville.

James, it’s Robert Fanucci. We shot next to each other at the last Dixie match. Glad the manipulation went well.

I throughly embarrassed myself in both cf and .45 but on a brighter note I did get some DR points.

I did ok with my 22, disappointing CF but my longline 45 ammo had 10 or so light powder charges. I used my Rcbs trickle but the scale must have been off. Once I hit the short line I was 100’s and 98’s but the damage was done I lost a minim of 30 points just in the 30 long line roundsgasixgunner wrote:I throughly embarrassed myself in both cf and .45 but on a brighter note I did get some DR points.

Marion County Fish and Game Club in Indianapolis (Carmel is a suburb of Indy) has a history of hosting Bullseye matches.

link also gives you a POC to contact on matches they host.
