CZ-75B as an EIC Pistol?
Today I tested my CZ-75B SA (a single-action version of the pistol) at 50 yards. The results were very encouraging.
I did the following work to the pistol, using Cajun Gun Works Parts:
1. Installed the CGW 10X bushing to improve lockup
2. Installed the CGW hammer and sear
3. Installed the CGW flat trigger.
4. Installed LPA adjustable rear sight and LPA front sight
The pistol has a very interesting trigger now, which is almost a true two-stage. (I do have a strong predilection for two-stage triggers). I say "almost" because I don't think that I can adjust the length and weight of each stage - it is what it is now.
Total trigger weight is a shade under 4.25lbs. First stage has a rathen long pull and weight of about 3lbs. Then there is a very definite wall, followed by second stage with a much shorter pull and weight of about 1.25 lbs.
The target below shows 4 shots very well clustered and one shot in the 9-ring, which is obvioulsy an operator error. I shot this target using a bag (or to be more precise, the front part of the Caldwell bag rest) with iron sights.
I believe that once I reach my goal of a Master classification, I will use this CZ-75B as my EIC pistol in pursuit of the Distinguished badge...

Because I want to stay focused on my Precision Pistol training, which is all done with Red Dot, rather than with the Iron Sights.

I personally have found that shooting both dots and irons has helped me improve my shooting. Looks like you have a capable set up, take it out and shoot!

What were you using for ammo?

I meant to and forgot to mention the ammo.
Zero 147Gr JHP 9mm reloaded ammo. This pistol likes it.

About training with both the dot and iron sights - I'll think about it

Put a Kadett CZ .22 adapter on it, with a fastfire reflex dot it's a lot of fun, love mine.

You're reading my mind - I have an eye on a Kadet right now. But if I buy it, I will keep the iron sights, so I can train with .22 ammo (of which I have plenty) for EIC.

FYI the Kadett takes a different rear sight from the 9mm slide. I forget the details but it matches some other CZ. The one that comes with it is decent though, unlike the one on the SA. I switched my Kadett's out for a mounting plate that fit the dovetail.

Well I'll be damned. I had one and set it up pretty much like yours and then some. It wouldn't hold the black at 25 yards. Maybe it just wasn't a good one?

If you are thinking of a Kadet conversion for the for the CA 75 SA, you might want to contact CZ-USA. I think they usually have a big sale late in the year for the holiday season. I ordered conversion units for both my P 07, and P 09, and as I recall they were at least 25% off. Just a heads-up.
