Brand spank'n new
Hi all,
I am brand new on this forum and just started to recently cultivate a long time interest in bullseye shooting. I am a long time competitive rifle shooter and gunsmith and may know some of you from other rifle forums. Please let me know if that's the case. Anyhow, I think I've been bitten by the bullseye bug, acquired all of the equipment and now ready to go. Have never shot a real bullseye match, so the excitement of starting from square 1 is in my favor. Hope to see some of you at a match.

Careful with the "cultivation" John - BE is just as addictive as HP.

Welcome JS, I am gulliver62 on the CMP and other Vintage HP related boards.
Agree, pistol is just as addictive but you don't usually have to get up as early

Welcome to pistol. You will be able to sleep in a bit later. Most of the time, you'll be in the shade. You'll need more guns. But, that's not a bad thing. Plus, we don't pull targets.

How many more guns will I need to chase a badge besides a hardball gun and a .22?? I have lots of target rifles, but when I get right down to it, I use only 2.

You only need 2 but who has only the guns you need?
At least one .22
Your CMP legal .45 but if you are really shooting BE you might want a .45 wad gun.
Then, you might want to chase Distinguished Revolver points so a .38 revolver.
CF can be more fun if you play with the sub calibers .32, .38, 9mm
You might want to bleed off into international where you need a legal .22 with iron sights.
The list can keep growing.

Well, we'll see how it goes. I am still very heavily involved in high power rifle competition, but I like the pistol too. My big goal is the badge. I just with I had more time to do it all.
