Replacement screws for 30mm Matchdot II
Combining the effects of blue Loctite and a cheap wrench, I stripped 2 screws on the rings of my Matchdot II. A long and a small one.
Ultradot will not provide replacements.
The screws are removed but before I attempt to cut a groove through their heads, I wonder if anyone would have some of those screws in their junk box?

Take the rings to local True Value or ACE and you'll be able to find replacement without much problem. I believe they are metric M3.5, and not specific to UD.

It is kind of irritating when a company is purchased to piggyback on prior name excellence, but then refuse to warranty or even supply a small token of customer support.
Not that I've got issues with the older ones, I currently run 11 of them on a variety of Bullseye pistols. That being said, I refuse to purchase new ones.

M4x12, and M4x28 (which might be hard to find). A 30 might hang out a little.
M3.5 would likely be even more difficult. It's been considered 'obsolete' for a number of years.

Yes. I have several takeoff rings.
But I would advise you to just get Leupold Rifleman Rings 30mm Medium.

I searched the screws drawers at Ace and another local hardware store and with a little help I was able to find something that will do.
Those are M4 indeed. Since I couldn't find the exact model with the head nesting in the ring, I had to take a longer M4x30. It will be shiny and ugly.

With all due respect Sir, with so many rings in your collection, you must have lived an uncommonly adventurous sentimental life!
I'll take 4 black ones if that is ok with you. Please PM me with your price and instructions.
And thanks!

Re: Replacement screws for 30mm Matchdot II
On checking the UD rings to send to OP, I noticed differences in the several I have. Looking at the 30mm, 3 bottom screw types.
6-32 x just under 1-1/8 uses 7/64 wrench
4-.7 x just under 1-1/8 uses 3mm wrench
6 32 x just under 1-1/8 uses 3/32 wrench
There are also three general shapes of the ring itself. Two of which are quite different in height.
If you use these you best be aware of which manufacturing run you have.
The one inch rings appear different as well.
I will soon picture the 30mm the for the sake of OP.
