CAMP PERRY STAPLERS
Just so everyone knows per Jim Henderson you will need a stapler at Perry this year for the "2700" match.

Where can one order pasters? (or I could bring masking tape?) I'm not planning on needing any, but you never know.....

I suggest Scotch/3M Contractor Grade masking tape #2020. Home Depot. Great stuff even on moist targets for hits in the white.valbern67 wrote:Where can one order pasters? (or I could bring masking tape?) I'm not planning on needing any, but you never know.....

Champions Choice, Creedmoor, Sinclair, Midway, Natchez... Just about any shooting supply website sells them.valbern67 wrote:Where can one order pasters? (or I could bring masking tape?) I'm not planning on needing any, but you never know.....

This will be our first time stapling and pasting targets at Perry so we will have to see how it is handled when we get there. Usually match organizers provide pasters. I could see match officials objecting to using tape or differently colored pasters because that would identify your target, which is not allowed. I've never heard of it happening at a local or regional match, but some things are different at the National Matches.

I'm going to apologize in advance to whoever winds up scoring me this year. Your basic math skills will be extensively used.
Due to tremors in my RH I'm forced to shoot LH. Much better wobble area, but, trigger control...lousy at best.
Dry firing has helped. But match scores are just moving into the 2150's, very-very humbling. May just shoot the 22 through the whole thing as the 6.13.21 2700 left me with a very painful left elbow tendon. Shot just the 22 on our 6.20.21 match & elbow is feeling just fine.

No apology necessary. Everyone starts out trying to keep shots on paper, then inside the scoring rings, then inside the black... and then we age and the process reversesAl wrote:I'm going to apologize in advance to whoever winds up scoring me this year. Who knows, maybe it will be me scoring you. I've only shot service pistol matches with the CMP, and not shot well the last few years, so I am officially a Marksman in the CMP.

Haha, I always say the same thing to whoever would score my target.Al wrote:I'm going to apologize in advance to whoever winds up scoring me this year. Your basic math skills will be extensively used.
On the opposite side, math is very good for your brain, keeps it busy and helps preventing Alzheimer
Re: CAMP PERRY STAPLERS
At this point I'm ecstatic when I shoot a score in the 90's, with any caliber. When I was shooting well I always kept my match targets I cleaned in TF & RF. Never did one in SF, 99's & 98's but just never a clean. Now I can look at the stack & fantasize of doing it "port sided", at least once anyway.
On another topic, any interest in getting a Bullseye-L social gathering together some evening? At the Jetty or even better, Andy's?

I just got the word - Andy's is NOT permanently closed. A friend spoke with Andy about 5 mins ago. They are open for lunch and they are looking at the current restriction situation before deciding to fully open. The ice cream part is not yet open, so that may be a letdown but hope lives.
Best Regards,
Oleg.
