Best 1911 3 leaf sear spring?
Is there much difference in 1911 sear springs? Any preferences? Are Ed Brown sear springs good?
Solid vs the ones with the sides of the sear and disconnector leafs skeletonized? --Thanks in advance, Russ OR

The nowlin style work good for lower trigger weights of 2-3.5 lb.

have you tried this on a frame with a marvel conversion set at 2+ish pounds?
I had/have issues with my clark 4-leaf spring losing tension (resetting curve).

I like both the Ed Brown Hardcore sear spring and the Cylinder & Slide units.

Sounding like there's been a few shooters having issues with the 4 leaf spring. I went through 2 of them that kept losing tension. Finally went to the 3 leaf (not sure of brand, whatever my smith put in there) and not an issue in 20,000 plus rounds.

I don't think the brand of the spring matters much. I've used a Nowlin, Colt and Wolff and haven't seen much difference.
I now use Wolff exclusively in my builds and trigger jobs since they are readily available.
The devil is in the adjustment No matter the brand.

I've heard several IPSC gunsmith say that they use Colt sear springs. Normally I'm not interested in anything Colt makes, but their sear springs are quite popular among gunsmiths building high use pistols.
