For those guys that want to list your hardball loads, i will add them to this sticky section as they come in, try and list all the info, bullet caliber and weight, brand and type, case brand, new or used, powder weight, crimp, primer, oal, velocity and group size and how you tested it. Dewey, list all the details and i will add yours as the first. We cant take for granted a new reloader knows what we are talking about unless we tell them things like 9MM or 45ACP and other details to build a accurate and safe round.

My thoughts as well.  I have 2 Beretta 9mm both have the KKM barrel fitted.  One is just a police turn in with the KKM fitted, no rails, no other accurizing.  It still has the fixed sights.  And it was with this pistol I earned my first P-100 badge.  Using factory Lawman 9mm 124gr FMJ.  But since then trying various reloads I can't get any to work as well as that factory Lawman ammo.

I have seen more and more people using 5.2 to 5.4 of N340.

As we've gone through the great powder shortage, I've tested 4.5 of Promo.  It has nearly identical average speed and lower standard deviations than 5.2 N340.

I know pistol shooters don't chrono much, but I thought I would add the data.

Any one tested JHP since the CMP has changed ammo rules?

HAP and XTPs are both outstanding. You shouldn't have to change your dies. Just substitute bullets as a start.

Absolutely.... but always start with a low powder charge and work your way up.
9mm (Copper Jacketed FMJ)
HP38 & WW231 @ 4.2grains
Primer: WW - WSP
Seated: 1.150

Another really nice load is: (this one is my all time favorite...burns very clean...VERY accurate!!!)
9mm (Berry`s Plated 124grn Flat Solid Base)
Hodgdon CFE @ 4.9grains
Primer: WW - WSP
Seated: 1.150

I stopped buying hornady bullets...i could never get the accuracy i wanted. Many better choices out there to chose from IMO.
The HAP bullets i was getting for my 9mm`s, were all inconsistently oversized. (.356 was the smallest...very dissapointed)

Can any one list 25 and 50 yard accuracy with their loads and what twist rate they are using?

What speeds did you see, Dewey?  Vihtahuori website puts that somewhere between 1198 and 1301 fps if I'm reading it correct.  I'm thinking of working up a load for my Beretta and running iron sights for the rest of this season.
