Pardini HP first stage click Empty Pardini HP first stage click

My Pardini started acting up today at the match. The first stage suddenly disappeared and the second stage of the trigger felt like 10 pounds or so. After I came home, I started playing with adjustment screws and now I have a good first stage take-up and 2.5lbs total trigger weight - however, at the end of the first stage there's a very distinct (and very annoying) click. I've never had this problem before, the trigger was excellent. Wondering if anyone had the same problem and if yes, how do I deal with it?

I also noticed that if I pull the trigger until I feel this click and then let it go, the first stage does not reset. It must be something holding the sear there and preventing it from freely rotating under the spring tension.

hey Javaduke.

I have some files that have tones of information for adjusting a pardini trigger.  Send me your email and I will get them to you.

Here's a quick update - I spent about two hours on the phone with Vladimir (Two hours! On Sunday morning! What a fantastic customer service!) and I learned how to completely disassemble and reassemble the gun (and did it several times Smile ) but unfortunately the problem is still there. What happens is at the end of the first stage I feel and hear the click and then if I release the trigger, the sear does not reset. If I rack the bolt back or push down on the hammer hooks with a small pin, the sear resets. I inspected the sear and hammer surfaces but could not see any imperfections, so it must be something else. I'm sending the gun to Pardini for inspection and repair.
