New recoil spring for S&W Model 41
Recently ordered a new recoil spring from Numrich.
Just noticed the new spring is about 1/2 inch longer than my older recoil spring.
After installing the spring, the gun cycle fine except I haven't brought it into the range yet.
My M41 has FTE(extract) & FTF(feed not fire) issues quite regularly ( so quite worrisome during matches ) - - would this new longer spring resolve the above issues?
Any comments appreciated.

I replace my recoil spring and hammer spring at the same time along with the extractor and it solved all my problems.

New springs will be about 1/2 longer than a year old spring when first used. I just changed two last week.

Be careful to NOT put the "open" end of the spring facing forwards, regardless of what the instructions may say.

I only use S&W 41 springs as they are finished on both ends.
