Pardini .32 pistol
Is there any way I can make the Pardini .32 cal. Pistol meet the NY State Safe Act Requirements? Because it has the magazine outside the grip it is classified as an assault weapon and therefore illegal. I am not aware of any-other firearm on the market in .32 cal.that offers bullseye accuracy.

I think that same problem existed in California and I heard there was an exemption made for pistols that are used for international competition. Maybe something like that is available in NY also?

I don't think this helps, as it uses a tube mag loaded from the front, but what about a Matchguns MG4?

Are you doubting the caliber or the gun at 50yards? I have had very good performance with my Pardini 32SWL at 50 yards. I have not ever shot a P240. I thought they had a good reputation. I certainly could be wrong on that.

Toddcfii.
If you are getting good groups out of an OEM Pardini 32SWL barrel at 50 yards you are a lucky boy!
That has not been my good fortune with Walther GSP or Pardini 32SWL.

Dave, good job. Better to see some facts, rather than my cynical speculation!
I was keen on buying a P240 at one time, but nice ones seem to go for big money and, as you say, getting parts and service could be difficult.
Lovely looking gun though.

Re: Pardini .32 pistol
Greetings,
Federal Match is not a good choice for the Pardini or any other pistol with 0.314" groove diameter.
The Federal bullets are 0.311" diameter; or, slightly larger.
With the aid of some math, Federal commercial measures 0.333" outside diameter. Subtract two wall thicknesses of 0.011" and you end up with room for a 0.311" bullet.
Yes, it is a hollow base and should slug up to fit the barrel. However, that does not seem to be the case. Also, Federal is loaded a bit stiff, about 770+FPS to help stabilize the bullet. Again, testing in a mechanical fixture say no go.
The only ammo I have tested in a Pardini barrel was some Lapua gifted to me by a member of the US Shooting Team. It shot X-ring at 50 yards!!!
Back to Federal, it shoots rather well, ten-ring with high X-count, at 50 yards in a barrel of 0.308" groove diameter.
Visiting the Pardini again, there is no commercially available ammo in the USA that will group consistently in the ten-ring at 50 yards.
CAVEAT. Some lots of Lapua will shoot ten-ring at 50 yards. Personally, I cannot afford ammo that costs $1.00 per shot.
Prove me wrong here folks. Submit a scanned target fired at 50 yards offhand or with a mechanical rest.

Re: Pardini .32 pistol
I have found Federal CLASSIC MATCH 98grain to be outstanding at 50 yards especially compared to Lapua 83 grain. I don’t think Federal Classic Match is made anymore - only Federal Champion. Fortunately I have a stash of the Classic Match. The 83 grain was the only bullet weight I could get my hands on in Lapua. It was much less accurate and keyholed at 50 yards and exhibited some keyholing or oblong holes even at 25 yards out of my Pardini. See my target above for offhand evidence from a sharpshooter reference Federal ammo out of a Pardini. The Federal is snappier than the Lapua but not too much.

Re: Pardini .32 pistol
Well done, toddcfii, you have stumbled on to a really, really good gun/ammo combo.
I originally had a GSP32SWL and with Fiocchi ammo the bullets tumbled really badly at 50 yards. That was early in my Bullseye life and I just moved on to Pardini's and only shot 32SWL at the short line in a revolver.
Very recently, with the objective of using it for International CF, I have bought a new Pardini 32SWL 5" and found some Lapua 98gr ammo. I happened to still have some nasty 100grDEWC reloads and have only shot those so far - OK at 25yds. Now you are inspiring me to go try the Lapua at both 25 and 50 yards!
Good job.

One caveat is that I bought this gun used. It may have an aftermarket barrel but I really doubt it because the seller did not mention it and it seems like that would be a selling point.
