1911 natl match 22 conversion.
hello friends! always tinkering my new idea is to take my 1911 national match colt 1980s? one of 3800 made by colt and be able to shoot 22 out of it. I dont know if a bob marvel upper would work with this lower, any thoughts? thanks for any suggestions.vin.
Re: 1911 natl match 22 conversion.
Vin,
If you value the pistol and want to keep it intact, then I would suggest that you go with any 22 conversion that has an ALUMINUM slide/bolt. Yes, Marvel steel conversions maybe loose enough not to damage anything, but the aluminum ones definitely will not, so no worries. Put one on and enjoy.
I cannot comment on compatiility, you may need to tinker a little.
