.22 Misfire Rate?
I've found that CCI Standard Velocity is by far the most reliable round in my M-41 in terms of feeding and ejecting. However, I seem to get a dud (click, no bang) about ever 60-80 rounds. in my experience rimfire will tend to have a higher misfire rate than centerfire, but mine seems abnormally high. I'm about to pull the firing pin to see if there's any debris in there that may be contributing to the problem.
What's your experience? Thanks.

On the latest batch, about the same as you. maybe a bit worse.
I have rounds that I hit three times in different spots and still no bang.
I just installed a new main spring and will see what happens this weekend...

Yes, did that with no change before the spring change.
Finding that CCI fit tighter in the chamber than others I use, which may be the issue.

I was having similar experience. CCI was most reliable but still some click no bang in my Marvel conversion. I replaced the mainspring with a heavier spring and have had no FTFs since then.

I've had about three bad rounds over the last 1800-2000 rounds fired

I use it in my 41 and have had next to no issues. All of my ammo was bought before the mail order ban in CA so newer stuff might be different.

I think I had one or two fail to fire rounds in the last 25K of CCI SV. It may have been just one, it's so rare I forget! I'm shooting a Pardini SP.

Pull the bullet out of the case of dud rounds. Pour the powder on white paper. Sometimes you'll find the green flakes of primer floating around in the powder- causing the misfires. Sometimes you won't see any primer, or partial primer around the rim inside the case. Another cause of misfires.
Those lots of ammo are best left for training (ball and dummy), not for matches.
CCI used to make good on defective lots, and replace them.

Rule out the gun first. Do the plunk test ...see if you have a fouled chamber. If no fouling and all 100 go plunk, then it's likely the shells
Re: .22 Misfire Rate?
I went through the last case of CCI without a misfire. I'm now 2 bricks into a new case purchased in November without issue. CCI makes good reliable ammo in my experience, but a bad batch is possible for any manufacturer I suppose.
I've only experienced bad reliability with bulk ammo like Winchester 333; some boxes would be fine, others I had a failure to fire every 15 rounds. Target ammo like CCI, SK, RWS, etc. has been 100% reliable or very close to it.

Thanks everyone for the input. I clean it before every match and I make sure the breach face is clean. I did remove the firing pin to check it and cleaned out the tunnel. Nothing unusual there. I think it's time to experiment with a heavier main spring and compare.
