Hammerli 208 issue solved
I had an issue with the ejected case occasionally getting stuck between the red dot mount and the slide on the Hammerli International causing alibis at the most inopportune times.
Many guys choose to chop off the back part of the mount over the ejection port to eliminate this problem and using 2 rings at front end of the scope.
I chose another approach and it worked beautifully. I ran about 300 rounds consistently without a single case getting jammed under the mount. I simply took a file to the area right over the ejection port at an angle to keep all the “meat” on the other side of the mount for structural integrity of the mount as shown in the pictures.
Worked beautifully and the red dot is still supported on both ends.

Very nice, I had the same issue with my Knapp red dot mount - however I later found out that the issue was caused by the steel magazines rather than the mount. I have been using polymer ones for the past 5 years and never had an issue again.
On the same subject, where did you get your red dot mount? I am after a second one and can't find anybody who makes them anymore.

Those are first choice but an option is the 215 mount. It's higher but works
