Bottom of Dot Sight
To preserve the bottom of your red dot where it gets hit with ejected cases, cut a piece of clear, slick packing tape to size. Clean to bottom of your dot with alcohol before applying.

I had the same idea but I used a piece of Velcro tape, the grippy side but the fuzzy side would work just as well.

I use 1/8" thick self-adhesive neoprene foam.
