45 ACP at & 38 Spc Spring and Load Advice
I’m getting back at it after several years away. What spring poundage would you recommend for a former Camp Perry hardball 45 acp my uncle built with National Match parts? Same for a Clark 1911 38 Spc kit gun? Both have Ultradots slide mounted.
Load recommendations?
Just looking for “re starting” point advice, beyond where I left off several years ago.

Re: 45 ACP at & 38 Spc Spring and Load Advice
I’d start with 12 pound springs, maybe a 10 pound for the 38 but the 12 might be better???
As for loads, lots of data here, but I’d start with 4.2 WST or Bullseye behind a 200’LSWC in 45 and 2.7 to 2.8 of the same powders behind a 148 HBWC or good cast WC.
