Anyone try ADE Red dots?
I found a local manufacturer and was surprised by all their offerings. I thought I should check if anyone has used one of them.

Cheap enough to try. Will take to the range Wednesday.

I am aware of this brand. Mixed reviews. Problem with cheaper sights is that it is a luck of the draw. There are few that are proven good, such as Bushnell TRS25. However, Bushnell reflex is iffy. ADE is a crapshoot no matter the tube or reflex. Better spend 50-80 more for something more proven. There are lots of good newcommers for reflex sights at 150-200 price point. Few old proven lads, such as Burris and Vortex.

I have the ADE 006a and 006b. They're mechanically and functionally the same, just a slightly different profile.LenV wrote:I found a local manufacturer and was surprised by all their offerings. I thought I should check if anyone has used one of them.

Well, I wish I had a great report. The dot works well enough. Might be a little bigger than 5 moa. Easy to turn on (after changing battery). It's the sight adjustment that's going to stop me from buying more. Imagine a tiny screwdriver slot with No reference points and no feel of movement. Now think of two for each adjustment. You have to unlock and lock after each change. These are carry pistols so I didn't try for 25yds . Shot at 45 ft. I adjusted after the first five were low right. I also played with the P365 and its Romeo Zero at the same time. Really the same time. I shot 5 rounds with one pistol then switched guns and targets and would shoot another 5. I wanted the test to be fair. I adjusted the sights on both pistols only once after the first 5. I really should have adjusted again after 10 but I knew they were both close enough. This way I at least got a 15 round group to look at. Honestly with these targets it would be tough to chose the more accurate pistol. The M&P was easier to shoot with much less felt recoil. The Sig is double stacked and feels better in my hand.
