Hammerli Xesse Sear Modification

Has anyone done the sear mode on the Xesse? 

If so how tough is getting the sear out of the gun. Does the sear come out by itself or do you have to remove the whole ignition system. Is it worth it?

This sear modification is absolutely worth it!
I recommend removing the hammer before removing the center. I think I have removed the sear before without removing the hammer just makes things harder.

Jon's right.  take the hammer our 1st then the sear.. the hammer can be a bit of a bear to put back due to the short strong mainspring. I put the hammer upside down in a vice with very little of the hammer in the vice. then I turn the frame upside down and align the hammer spring and strut to the hole in the frame for the strut. use the grip portion to push down on the hammer and align the hammer hole with the frame hole. a tapered punch makes it much easier to get the initial alignment done. then you can remove the hammer and frame from the vice and insert the actual pin driving the tapered punch out..

don't get carried away on the sear modification or you'll be buying a new sear...  

Hell Jimmy, I massacre that little bastard into a 1911 sear!!!
