Hawke Sport Optics Vantage 1x30 Red Dot Sight w/ Weaver Rail 12104
I'm are looking for a scope to put on my .22 conversion. I see the Hawk 12104 on Optics Planet.
Anyone have any information on the quality of this red dot scope?

They are OK, but why? You can get virtually same Sig Romeo 5, Primary Arms, Vortex Crossfire and Holosun 403 for pretty much same price and battlefield proven reliability. Not to mention great warranties.

OK what is OK? The others are not 30mm, I want 30mm. Strike fire 30mm has 4MOA dot. Sig Sauer Romeo 7 has my interest but in the description at Optics Planet it's listed as having 2 night vision and 9 daylight setting and in another location they say is has 10 intensity settings. is it 10 or 11 settings? When night vision in included I will not buy that scope! I probably have about 10 red dot scopes that are not mounted to anything, still new in the box that are here because I don't like what I purchased. So before buying I get other bullseye shooters opinions!

I wouldn’t recommend a Romeo 7 on a pistol. For one it has a rather large footprint which means it will span the majority of a 1911 slide. And it’s heavy. It is robust as it will take recoil of a 308 rifle but that robustness comes with weight.

You did not specify you wanted exactly 30mm. Not many options when it comes to that size. I assume you want specifically micro red dot, otherwise you would look at Ultradot 30mm variants.
About Hawke - from what I heard and saw with other people Hawke as a brand is decent. I saw one sight from them and it was quite OK, on par with anything else out there. Looked well built and actually pretty, dot was sharp and red like anything else out there. Like red, not pink, not muted red.
In this price category I recall there is 30mm Sun Optics (SOUSA) red dot. I was looking at that a while back. They make decent products and comparable to Hawke. SOUSA OPTICS Raid 1x30mm, comes with low mount I recall.
Holosun HE530 is a great choice, but 4x the price.
