Bayou 9 mm bullet?
A search of the archives seems to show that Bayou's coated .45 SWCs are fairly well regarded. Are their 9 mm 120 grain TC bullets also worthwhile?
Or would I be smarter to get some Precision Delta JHPs, or wait for Zeros to be available?

Re: Bayou 9 mm bullet?
I haven’t tried the 120 grain bullet but I have shot thousands of their 147 grain with good accuracy. Their 45 bullets are very accurate as well.
Edited to add I have found that wadcutters from both Precision Delta and Zero were excellent. PD’s 38 and 9mm jacketed bullets are great.

Any experience with the PD JHP 185 grain .451? Yet another bullet that seems not to be in stock right now, but...

Re: Bayou 9 mm bullet?
I have loaded and fire many thousands of the Bayou 120 and 124 TC bullets sized for 9mm and .357. I liked the 124 better (no longer offered) but the 120 is also a very accurate bullet in 9mm. .38 Super and .38 Spl. The Brazos HiTek coated Bullets, IMO are equally good.Buck13 wrote:A search of the archives seems to show that Bayou's coated .45 SWCs are fairly well regarded. In 9mm 4.0 - 4.2 VV N320 works quite well
In .38 Super 4.2 - 4.4 VV N320 works quite well.
In .38 Spl 4.4 - 4.6 WST works quite well. (VV N320 probably will to, haven't tried it)
I believe the ZERO 115 or 125 JHP-C is more accurate, but not by a great deal and a comparative premium in price and harder to locate.

Re: Bayou 9 mm bullet?
I had some 185’s loaded in 45 ACP brass and some 45 GAP brass that were great in a 625. I don’t remember if they were PD’s or not. I’m sure they would shoot good but not sure when they will be back in stock. I’m still watching for 147 flat points, no luck for awhile.
I used VV N310 with the 625 because it burned so clean. WW 231 for everything else mostly because I had several pounds of it.

THEY ARE PLINKERS. THEY DO NOT GROUP WELL AT 50YDS.THE ZEROS ARE MUCH BETTER. JPBuck13 wrote:Any experience with the PD JHP 185 grain .451? Yet another bullet that seems not to be in stock right now, but...
