Grip Safety
A M1911 pistol with a beavertail grip safety may not be used, however, a pistol that has been modified for a beavertail safety may be used if the beavertail safety is replaced with an as-issued grip safety.
Hammer
Combat style Hammer is NOT legal
Trigger
4lbs or greater
Sights
Front sight may be higher than as issued sight, but must be non adjustable. Rear sight may be adjustable, but must have open U or square notch.

Changing for EIC matches
I did the same thing with a Dan Wesson Pointman 7. I bought a hammer, grip safety, thumb safety, standard rod guide and springs at a gun show to make it "legal." I can return it to stock by just putting the old parts back. It is not a 2K match pistol but it does pretty good. I shot it in 3 ball matches so far and it does well if I do my part. Good luck to you.
