There aren't any. Slide stop is under gravity. It falls down on its own and pushed up by mag follower. I assume maybe your ammo catches the slide stop and pushes it up?

Sorry but not just gravity. Plunger is pushing against the slide stop to hold it in place. Plunger springs vary in length. A new longer spring may do the trick or a small dimple in the slide stop for the plunger tip to depress into to prevent it from rotating under recoil into the slides stop notch.Tripscape wrote:There aren't any. In your post you have RRA 1911, does that mean Remington Rand? I have a USGI 1911-A1 Remington Rand and it will catch the slide stop if I use Metalform mags with the rounded follower, even in a Ransom rest. If I use USGI or commercial Colt with the flat follower it works fine.
