Sellier and Bellot Club 22LR Ammo
A local gun store had a big pile of these and I bought a couple of boxes to try. My goal was to see if it could stand in for CCI SV in this era of uncertain supply. It wasn’t any better in price as it was in the $5.00/box range. But the store had no other “target” ammo. I think it shot fine for what it is and how I tested it. Functioning was 100%. The three errant shots were me as I was just using my 1X dot. Shot at 25 yards.

Impressive!
I am curious about your statement "I was just using my 1X dot". What would you have liked to use instead to make it even better?
Thanks for sharing the tip. The following link has it for $3.97 plus sales tax and shipping:

If I was going to test it off a rest for accuracy, I’d swap out the dot for a 8X or better scope. It makes the shooting a bit contorted but the accuracy improvement is worth it. It only works for 22s really. It’s better to use a proper tester or machine rest but it’s what I have.

It might be important to state the pistol used and temperature, so that people with the same one can expect good functioning.

Smith 41 with Clark 5.5 Barrel, mid 60s. I don’t know what priming or powder they used, but the recoil was as sharp as CCI or Federal Auto Match.

Picked up some of this at $30/500 plus tax, so $32/500. Just shot a 25yd NMC with it in my Hammerli 208s and got a 95 SF, 100-4x TF and 98-3x RF. For the price, it is better than CCI SV, especially since I get 1 or 2 duds out of 100 with the CCI. Shoots the same as Eley Club for me, recoil and accuracy-wise, but at half the price. Going back and getting a case for the winter league 50ft for the next couple years. As soon as I get my RR back, I will test it against a few others at 50yds in the 208s, AW93, GSP a d Victor.

Where did you find S&B at that price?NukeMMC wrote:Picked up some of this at $30/500 plus tax, so $32/500. Just shot a 25yd NMC with it in my Hammerli 208s and got a 95 SF, 100-4x TF and 98-3x RF. Just bought a case at 34.9/500.
Excellent performing ammo BTW!
Only mfg that issues specs like these:
Bullet weight: 40g +/- 0.02g
Primer within 0.002g
Propellants within 0.01g
