Hornady "3D" bullets
I'm looking for a source for this 148g swaged .357 WC.
Do any of you know if they're still being made?
I'm currently loading Remingtons About 200 and I must stop to clean my dies.

Try Precision Delta http://www.precisiondelta.com/detail.php?sku=B-148-HBWC-ML
They are getting caught up and just shipped me some with a 2or3 week turnaround. Get the Match Lube (ML), it's a dry lube their standard lube is more like the Remington but not as bad.

3-D sold the business to Hornady a long time ago. Those were great bullets.

Re: Hornady "3D" bullets
I load thousands of Remingtons and have never cleaned a seating die, so I can't help.
All I know is that after testing EVERY SINGLE brand of HBWC I could find, nothing compares to the Remington (ugly little bullet that it is).
You could wipe off some/most of the lube. I find they work well out of the box or wiped fairly clean.
Personally, I would look at how much case expansion and case mouth flare you are using and increase both. Case expansion with the Remingtons should give you a case ID (where the bullet will be seated) of no less than 0.357", with a target of 0.358". I use a larger than standard expander.

3D HBWCs & Nasty Rems
3D HBWCs. - I love(d) those bullets with the flaky wax-like lube. – I believe Hornady bought out 3D and promptly quit making the 3Ds. RATS. - -- -
I shoot the Rems now. – I Put a couple hundred at a time in a wire basket &, with my air compressor, out in the gravel, blow as much of the messy lube off as I can. – Then I lube them with the water-based bullet lube: Rooster Jacket (RJ). Adds about 30 minutes per 500 reloads. – Worth it to me.
Problem: Now Rooster Labs quit making the Rooster Jacket(RJ).-Fortunately I have enough RJ for 10K± HBWC realoads.
Maybe the Rems would do OK without the RJ- & just blowing most of the nasty lube off. – Guess I’ll find out when I run out of RJ. -- Russ
