Beaver Tail grip safety on EIC gun
I'm sure this has been asked before but want to know if Beaver Tail grip safety is allowed on EIC 1911 45acp? So many rule changes I forgot if it's currently allowed in the National Match.

Frank,
You better look at the NEW rules on EIC guns, it's way different than what your brain is going to process LOL. Ball is Wad is Ball!!!

When it was DCM only service pistol was allowed, adjustable sights and Gold Cup were added. But when CMP didn't have or want to issue 230gr Ball ammo that started the rule changes, now quite a few pistols are allowed that were never service guns. Guess they will have to add the M-17

Does the US military even buy 230 ball ammo anymore?

An article from about a year ago-
"Winchester is about to ramp up production in its facilities in Oxford, Mississippi and East Alton, Illinois in preparation for its latest military contract.
The United States Army has officially awarded Winchester a hefty $145M Army Pistol Ammunition contract to produce .38 caliber. 45 caliber and 9mm ammunition over a five-year contract agreement."

No need. M-17 and M-18 have been in the rulebooks for ~2 years.Froneck wrote:Guess they will have to add the M-17

Re: Beaver Tail grip safety on EIC gun
about a year ago, So with the shortages of complete ammo and components, There was more production capacity to be had but some how they weren't using it to help alleviate the shortages, interesting.shanneba wrote:An article from about a year ago-

Nothing new to loading 5 rounds, range command for Bullseye, DCM and CMP is with 5 rounds load. You could never load 6 except in slow fire and should be OK for slow fire in .22 EIC match to load 10 as some magazines will accept 10 .22 rounds.
