Wadcutters vs. hollow point
Has anyone ever done any accuracy testing on lead wad cutters vs. lead hollow points?

I've had good success with LSWCHPs in 185gr. I'm liking the 200gr LSWCs better. I would say that my accuracy was about the same...

Re: Wadcutters vs. hollow point
Most accurate lead round ever produced for bullseye was the original STAR 185 lswc-hp with match lube, it was a swaged bullet with a dipped lube, that said a HG 68 style 200 will produce groups as good. Today, zero and delta precision make a close copy of the star, its not exact as zeros has a longer nose and a bigger hole in the point and a different lube. Many are happy with these but ive heard the deltas are sub quality. The most accurate round is the 185 fmj, but for lead at 50 yards the 185 zero should be a good one , but the magnus 200 model 802 has been the best for me.

I found Laser Cast 200g wadcutters (very close to the H&G 68) over 3.8 g N310 ransom rested less than 2 inches at 50yds
and there's the Nosler 185g JHP with N310 powder. This is close to the "Marine Load"
click on this:

Sadly Vihtavouri powders are no longer being made but I heard from a pretty good source that Lapua is going to buy the Vihtavouri plant -
I can't figure out how to post website urls??
I'll try to post it another way.

I like Zero 185gn L-SWCHP, but I love Zero 200gn L-SWC. The 200gn is more consistently accurate for me at all ranges.
