22 EIC before the 2700 at Perry
At a typical match, where the 2700 is shoot first followed by the EICs, I remove the red dot after the .22 900 so I can use the same .22 for the EIC. I know I can put the red dot back on and go to the range at a later date to re-zero it before the next match.
It looks the schedule at Perry this year has the 22 EIC the day before the 22 900. I'm hesitant to take off the red dot for the EIC and put it back on before the 22 900. It doesn't always have the same zero after it has been removed. It hits paper at 50 yards, but sometimes its a 5 or 6. That's not the way I want to start the 22 900 match. Is there any option at Perry to sight in a gun after the 22 EIC?

What pistol and optic are you using? Vertical or horizontal rings? If you use horizontal rings they normally can get you closer than what you described if you get a method of putting back on the rail the same way each time. Vertical split rings (stock UD) are a disaster.

It’s on a Pardini with horizontal rings. There’s no rail, just the slots milled in the frame.

Yikes, Pardini’s are a pain in that regard. I believe most of the ranges will allow test firing after matches. You might need to go to AMU trailer and armorer will give you a slip of paper for range personnel to allow a test fire session. You can rezero. That’s what I would try.

There is a zeroing range on Camp Perry that is open all day/every day that matches are conducted. It is located behind the indoor air gun Range building. Ask about it when you check in to pick up your competitor packet and someone should be able to give you directions on the map.
The caveat to this is there may be bad weather to contend with and you are out there in the wind trying to get a zero. It has happened to me. ;-)
