Why no LPP's in the market yet?
I am seeing offers for several brands of "white box" 9mm (and other popular caliber) ammo from several vendors at close to pre-C19 prices. And recently there are imported SPP's from several vendors appearing, not yet close to pre-C19, but much less than peak "gouger" prices.
No Large Primers - I wonder why the makers/vendors are not moving to fill what must be a significant pent-up demand?

It's not a very big demand at all because military doesn't use LLP's in anything any more and the rest of the world looks like 9mm ville. That's why many venders have moved to 45 ACP with small primers. The SPP work good and most of the with the same bullet and powder charge.

Still a heck of a lot of .45 ACP firearms in Special Warfare armories, many of which you do not want to feed ammo loaded in 1943. (i.E, Corrosive or mercuric primed ball ammo.) Just because LC isn't loading .45 Auto does not mean there is no demand for the ammo, recently, there were a few contracts to Winchester and Federal for variants of this round.
In the civilian market, I still know of no manufacturers making 10 mm and 44 Magnum brass that uses small primers. Trying to remember which magnum capacity pistol cases that are designed to be used with Small Rifle Primers. (Think .454 Casull is one.) There is still demand for large pistol primers, manufacturers might be trying to keep up with demand for bulk quantities of 9 mm and 40 S&W and meeting that demand first?
Best advice for the present: Hold back on Final Protective Fire practice until the primer situation improves.

357 Max, 40k, uses SRP. Hornady shows a Rem 7-1/2. 327 Fed, 45k, is listed as a SPM, but Hornady shows a F205.

Vista, CCI/Blazer 10mm cases have been small pistol for a couple years. I bought a few thousand assorted range brass and 10+% were small pistol in 10mm with other headstamps too.
Fiocchi I expect will start making less and less LPP as they do not have a LPP lead free product (they do have SPP, SRP and I hear now LRP LF primers)

Re: Why no LPP's in the market yet?
I switched to loading 45 ACP with small primers and my 44 magnum TC gets shot every couple of years, but I switched to LRP for a better standard deviation.
I hope I am wrong, but on the ranges I go to 9mm has taken over and only once in a while do I see a 40 or any of the magnums. And most of those people use store purchased ammunition.
I definitely hope the manufacturers keep making everything, I just don't see that much used at the ranges.

I know a commercial reloader and the amount of 9mm he loads is staggering easily exceeding 45 Auto and 38 special COMBINED. The others (357, 40, 10mm etc) barely even register.

On the internet you can find photographs of ammunition TRAINS leaving the factory that are alluded to be 30 box car loaded with nothing but 38 special wadcutter loads..
Ive seen partial documents showing how much it would cost for a police department to purchase a single box car of 38 special.

Re: Why no LPP's in the market yet?
Interesting, I had not searched AmmoSeek for primers for some time. The cheapest LPP's on offer are Murom brand, that name is new to me, for about $70/1000 + shipping. Seems that they are made in Russia in same complex as Tula brand (a few years ago, before I got serious with Bullseye, I used to buy Tula 9mm, very inexpensive and went bang just as good as any other "white box" brand, IMHO).
So now there are Russian made primers being imported and openly sold in the USA. Really! I thought that there are trade embargoes and all kind of restrictions that would apply to most Russian goods - surely ammunition and components would feature high on those lists.
Amazing.
No doubt someone will follow this post with reports of videos on the Internet apparently depicting train loads of Russian primers/ammo destined for US Military/LEO.

Roy,
I’m reminded of the Ukrainian Rail Service response to a Russian train requesting to connect to Ukrainian rail for “humanitarian purposes” last year early in the war.

I think that TargetSports and Powder Valley both have LPP of a few different brands. If you want them, you'll have to pay up!

Also plenty of primers found via ammoseek at Miwallcorp.com
1. Can anyone vouch for that as a valid business?
2. I have not used Rem 2 1/2 LPP yet. Is there any reason these are not well suited for BE match ammo?
Thanks,
