velocity and accuracy
Been playing with some bullseye loads,, and realized something funny...
my gun seems to prefer higher velocity... 5.5 gr bullseye gave me a startling nice 12x12" group a foot below point of aim..
6.0 gave me what seems to be its typical cow boy load grouping of 3x4"

I am shooting "Hercules bullseye powder" a 15 pound metal keg, So I looked around for some older BE load data and it says 5.0 grns BE and a 230 grain FMC 905 feet per second, you are pretty hot

44 magnum buddy..
the 5.5 grain load seemed to have more kick to it.. but no accuracy. Reminds me of the time i tried 130 gr FMJ in a 38 special..

Re: velocity and accuracy
I have to ask if your purpose of posting here is to receive feedback on some accurate .45acp loads.
If so, I would suggest you consider some of the suggestions provided by others. I will chime in with
a couple that work well for me.
I still have several thousand of the Star lswchp 185gr bullets. They are no longer made but the Zero
lswchp bullets have a similar profile. I load these with 4.0grs of Bullseye.
For Service Pistol I load 4.5grs. of Bullseye under the Zero 185gr. JHP bullet.
These loads would be a good starting point for you if you are looking for Accurate loads for Bullseye
shooting.
