One of my pistol shooting friends has a Glenfield (Marlin) Model 75C .22 rifle which does not feed reliably. Seems to be in good condition. I did notice the spring in the tube magazine seems rather weak. Any suggestions on how we can get this rifle to work, so he can let his daughter use it while we get back to serious pistol shooting?? Thanks. Neutral

If that's the semi-auto, a long time ago a friend got a used one. It wouldn't feed anywhere near reliably (we figured out why he got such a good deal). Well, without a parts diagram or anything else, I still decided to do a good cleaning. The action was absolutely packed with unburnt powder. A can of carb cleaner, and a good lubing and it shot great.

Thanks for the good tip. Couldn't help but noticed your Marine connection (thanks for serving) and am not surprised that a Marine would start any gun problem by making sure it was up to inspection standards in the clean department. Will follow your suggestion Wink
