Mildly curious what the record for .22-only 2700 is. Mine is 2674. Gotta be somebody in the 2690s, but then again, not many people shoot that weird stuff.
We have a beautiful range here on the SF Peninsula (lovingly paid for by my San Mateo County tax dollars) where we can only shoot air and .22, not CF, so we've had some .22-only 2700s. That's the only reason why I've shot them.

I would like to know this too. I kind of want to see how high I can shoot .22 only with a dot after thisjohn bickar wrote:Mildly curious what the record for .22-only 2700 is. Mine is 2674. Gotta be somebody in the 2690s, but then again, not many people shoot that weird stuff.

Isn't Jason Medinger's 897 still the National .22 record? If it is, it's doubtful that 2690 has been broken in .22 only.

Re: finally broke 2600 (.22 only)
There isn't a national record for the 22 only 2700
From the Rule Book 2024:
22.7 National Records - There will be no National Records awarded or established for this .22 Caliber Only Aggregate.
I looked at the National Matches from 2014 to 2024 for match 113 scores. (22 only 2700)
There could be higher scores from other matches.
2014 is listed as Jr only under 17 (and earlier 22 2700)
Winning scores- (the top shooter's would have been shooting the 22 / CF and 45)
2014 2510 53X JR 17 and under
2015 2391 38X
2016 2498 59X
2017 2580 67X
2018 2580 93X
2019 2573 89X
2020 no matches
2021 2544 73X
2022 2462 57X
2023 2336 42X
2024 2577 72X

If the score is put down on a scorecard, there always is a record, the trick is finding/availability of the data.shanneba wrote:There isn't a national record for the 22 only 2700

Don't let an equipment choice "limit" your potential, a good score is the result of a good shot process. A good shot process is independent of equipment. Regardless of dot or iron sights you still have to have solid fundamentals. 2680 still stands.jareds06 wrote:I would like to know this too. The current National Records for .22 Agg. are 898 Outdoor and 892 Indoor. Although the current NRA Rule for National Records specifies it will NOT include ".22 only", I suppose it's possible the NRA may follow the CMP in expanding their Rules to include more competitors. We'll see.

Indoor depends on course of fire. Jack Adams shot an 894-32x to win the Sectional in 2019, not sure if that is the record, but higher than stated.mbmshooter wrote:The current National Records for .22 Agg. are 898 Outdoor and 892 Indoor. Iron sights for the win! Pretty sure Frank and Hershel didn't have an UltraDot for those scores.
Congratulations Jared. I haven't tried to shoot a 2700 .22 only but now I may have to take up that challenge.

Jared- Will you get a High Master card if you break 873 in your next match? Or did you already do so? Great shooting!

I don't know how that all works to be honest, i have a .22 only classification through NRA i believe but i don't even know where to check that or how to get a card or what because the NRA is such a poorly run organization. I'm an expert for CMPDan Webb wrote:Jared- Will you get a High Master card if you break 873 in your next match? Or did you already do so? Great shooting!

Please pardon the mild correction. You didn't "break" 2600, you kicked in the door and took no prisoners. More amazing to me is how you kept your feces consolidated after what must have been a heck of a slow fire score. Way to show off your Big Girl Panties that day! Congratulations!
