Curious, when does the CMP National Match Bulletin come out?

Re: National Match Bulletin
IIRC, Oct-Dec is typical, but a few years ago the rifle bulletin didn't arrive until March I think.

Here is the calendar, but the bulletin will be about Jan 1 or so.

Re: National Match Bulletin
Thank you Wobbley - got those dates in my calendar now - good.
Whilst I don't plan on shooting it, I notice that the M&P + As-Issued Matches are offered on both Sunday Afternoon & Monday morning.
So, based upon that, I guess that Canton will run from Thursday to Sunday (possibly a warm-up on Wednesday? But, why bother?).
And so Cardinal has Saturday 05Jul25 thru Wednesday 09Jul25 to play with. It is good that the 4th falls on a Friday, leaving a full week-end for us! Great.
I'm guessing warm-up on Saturday (+ maybe Harry Reeves), 22 + 22EIC Day Sunday, CF + DR Day Monday. 45 + SPEIC Day Tuesday. With teams on each respective day. Cardinal can accommodate ~90 shooter relays - it will be interesting to see whether they attract more than one relay of shooters (only ~45 at Atterbury this year).
As we know from previous years, each event needs at least a half day "weather wriggle room"
Looking good so far.

Re: National Match Bulletin
I see that there’s a CMP National Championship Pistol
After the 45 900
Anyone know what that is? Is it an EIC Service Pistol?

Re: National Match Bulletin
The M&P and “As issued” 1911 are essentially the same match as theyi have the same course of fire. The only difference is that the M&P allows other than 1911 45. It’s a bit goofy in that you’re required to shoot with “non-dominant” hand and there is a sustained fire of 10 rounds in 70 seconds. You need to make a mag change on your own.
The CMP National Championship Pistol on Friday is the awards ceremony for the 2700 and team matches. The EIC matches follow on Saturday with the Presidents and the National Trophy Individual and Team matches. The only other EIC is the ‘Baby Leg” given at the M9 Match at the SAFS on Monday.

Actually, there were 68 shooters at Atterbury this year. I know, moot point but I for one will miss Atterbury.

Moot indeed. Yes, sorry, it was the rifle shooters at about 45, so I heard. R.I.P. Atterbury. Pity about all the money that was wasted on a very badly designed facility with TWO lines of turning targets (at both 25 and 50) which never worked properly, whilst the firing line was incorrectly located. No idea whose money actually paid for it all, but they got ripped off and now it is totally wasted. Ho hum.

Program, or Bulletin?
Mark asked about the Bulletin. Others in the thread are talking about the Program.

That's a program, not a bulletin. Mark asked about a bulletin. I asked for clarification.

Re: National Match Bulletin
I think that Wobbley was trying to be helpful - she did state that the Match Bulletin is likely to be issued in January 2025. To be honest, I'm not actually sure that I know what the Match Bulletin comprises.
As of right now I'm very pleased to see the "Pistol Week" dates set and Registration Date commencement set. That meets my needs!
Thanks.

Re: National Match Bulletin
I think the Program is the announcement of the next years match along with dates and entry information.
The Bulletin is the results from the previous years match.
I will confess that when I read the original post my first thought was that he was looking for the Program for 2025. I hindsight, he could have been asking about the results from 2024 which have not been mailed out yet.
Maybe he could clarify because I do believe a lot of us use the wording interchangeably which is bad on our (my) part.

Re: National Match Bulletin
I appreciate everyone’s input. I should’ve put “National Match Results Bulletin” for my request.
Being new to Bullseye, I’m still in the honeymoon phase where everything is so novel and I look forward to reading things like the bulletin I participated in

Re: National Match Bulletin
You find results online within a day or two of the match being shot. Here and similar places. I don’t think hard copies are mailed anymore.

They ask if you want a copy mailed to you when you sign up
It’s also easier to see a few hundred people in one view on the bulletin vs going to next page, stats, and write ups

That is true. They will mail you a printed copy if you request one when they ask. It’s pretty nicely done. They do take their time in sending it out though. I can’t recall when last years showed up but they arrive when you aren’t really expecting it.

Re: National Match Bulletin
CMP definitely mails hard copies of the Bulletin. I have the one from 2023.
When you enter the match, there's a checkbox to choose whether or not to receive a hard copy in the mail.
In 2023, I chose poorly and chose "online results only". I later regretted my decision; I emailed the CMP, and they were kind enough to send me several copies of the Bulletin with my stupid face on the cover (the young Miss Bickar wanted a copy).
I have no reason to believe that they would refuse to send a paper copy to anyone who asks; I believe that the checkbox is a mechanism to get within a few percentage points of printing and postage costs in 2024.
CMP continues to be reasonable.
