Zero change 50ft to 25yards
Can I use my 25 yard zero at 50 ft. I can't get to the range before we leave for a match tomorrow.

Re: Zero change 50ft to 25yards
All of mine are a click off one way or the other. With the 50 foot 10 ring being so small, I make an adjustment after the first 5 shots of slow fire if I put a tight group down that is off center (and I called them all in). I adjust my sights more at 50' then I do outdoors.
To put your mind at ease, the zeros are very close for all my guns between 25 yards and 50'--enough that you wont ruin your match.
Your .38 and 45 load has an impact on this. My 45 load is 3.8gr BE under 200gr LSWC H&G68s. I use the same zero from 50' to 50 yards out of my gun.

Thanks Rob, my .38 is the biggest concern my 25yd load is pretty light but given what you said I won't be too far off on the first 5 and can adjust.

--Oh, my advice only holds if you are shooting a dot--because of the different size of the black if you shoot 6 o'clock, and the smaller paper for sub-six if you are shooting irons, your elevation is going to be off.
With your .38, even if your load is light, with the shorter distance, your load should group that much tighter.

Dots on everything, but I want to get some match time with my revolver so I guess I'm going to have to get to the range before we leave.

You should be fine with the revolver from 25yards to 50 feet just like the rest. Go shoot and have fun!
