Dovetail 1911 Red Dot Weaver Style
Does anyone know who makes a weaver style Red dot mount for a GI 1911 that fits the dovetail, BME probably did, but I can't seem to find anyone else. I prefer a tube style RD over a reflex.

My first thought would be to call EGW, The owner once helped me secure a rather unique part.
I also came across this, perhaps it might work for you?

I also saw this item but in the description it states that its not recommended for semi-auto formats:

There isn't one on the market, and even if you had one custom-made, it's not likely to work long-term because tube dots have three to four times more mass than open reflex dots.
Ribs are the go-to for a reason. I have seen folks use partial ribs or even plate systems like the Accuracy X system, but those still use multiple larger screws and/or machined recoil lugs to prevent failures. A press-fit dovetail mount (or, more likely, a two-piece system with tiny screws a dovetail up under the rail) probably isn't going to handle 4 ounces or more of mass trying to pull it apart for very long.

Rather than trying to get”unobtanium”, I’d opt for one of these. You can get a mounting plate from EGW to fit most pistols. If you zero it at 40 yards, most ammo (22 or 45) will hit within the 10 ring at either 25 or 50. When your shoot an 8…it will be entirely your fault…

This is the only one I’m aware of but seems to be out of stock all the time. I don’t know how well it maintains position either.
